As a non-profit, 501(c)(3), program of the Back River Neck Recreation and Parks council, the Sailing Center's mission is to provide a full range of sailing opportunities to anyone with the interest, time, and energy to join us.

Located at Baltimore County's Rocky Point Park (2200 Rocky Point Rd) in Essex, Maryland, the Sailing Center offers a variety of sailing programs for all ages, making it truly the best place to learn, play and enjoy the day. Whether you are a parent looking for a summer camp program for your child, a novice looking for sailing instruction, or an experienced sailor looking for competitive one-design racing, the Sailing Center's commitment to quality service and instruction at nominal prices, makes us that best in the area. Participants sail our fleet of JY15's and single handed Xcites in beautiful Hawk Cove without the worry of congestion, excessive boat traffic, or currents.
