LEARN TO SAIL IN A WEEK -
For those
who don't have all month to go sailing on Sundays, we offer
a one week program in June, also through the Community
Colleges. We'll start on Saturday with orientation and a first sail
followed by debriefing and review. We'll go out again on
the water before the end of the day just to ground our
theory in some solid practice. Then on Tuesday, we'll go
back out on the water and learn a few more skills and
tactics. We'll do it again on Thursday, until finally on
the following Saturday we'll be ready to sail to the island
for lunch (weather permitting), recover a capsized boat,
tack, jibe, run, reach and beat home. Student-to-instructor
ratio never exceeds 6 to 1.

A $175
fee payable to the college includes a text book (Start
Sailing Right) and the opportunity to become
certified in DNR's Maryland Basic Boating.
