BCSC has great sailing conditions, friendly race officers, diverse fleets, and clean water. We offer racing opportunities and instruction for small boat sailors of all classes and skill levels. We welcome children and adults and have great programs available for all. Weather you looking for some basic racing instruction, challenging one design style re-gattas, or family friendly distance courses, please contact us to find out how to get in-volved or just register for a program!
Gerry Brown Memorial Regatta
April 26th In con-junction with the Baltimore Area Boardsailing associa-tion, BCSC will be hosting sailors in various small boat and Windsurfers for this season opening regatta on April 25th. All proceeds benefit the Johns Hopkins On-cology Center.
Monday Night Racing
May10- Oct 25 5:30 7:30 This is a low key racing program for adult sailors of every skill level. There is a brief skippers meeting on the beach at 530 followed by up to 5 short races. A general debriefing is of-fered to help sailors sharpen their skills. This is a great way to prepare for regattas. And make new friends.
Camp Champ Junior Race Series
June 25, July 9, July 23, Aug 6, Aug 20 12-3This program is so Xciting!!! Jun-ior sailors who have partici-pated in any summer camps or previous sailing program are invited to race in these friendly fun regattas on Friday afternoons.
BCSC Junior Regatta
August 7th. Junior sailors in the Optimist, Laser, Laser Radial, and Club 420 are invited to sail in a CBYRA sanctioned regatta in Hawk Cove. Skippers meeting at 9-am followed by up to 6 races, with no races beginning after 3pm.
Round the Island
September 19th An annual favorite! Small boats of all classes are in-vited to race around Hart Miller and Pleasure Islands. Junior sailors in the optimist, laser, and club 420 classes race around the smaller Pleasure Island.
Thursday Night Racing
May 6th– Sept 9th Racing Dinghies of all types are invited to participate in these formal races in Hawk Cove and Back River. This program is not coached so we recommend that all participants have a prior knowledge of sailboat racing. Sailors may participate in their own boats or charter a JY15 from the Sailing Center.
