Sailing 401 Hawk Optimist Race Team

In preparation for this coming summer, we are running a 6 week spring program on Sunday afternoons starting May 2 for 6 weeks (no class Memorial Day weekend).  Sailors should arrive at 1:30pm and be rigged and ready to go at 2p, returning to shore at 4pm.  Sailors can pay for individual weeks at $25 per session (plus $10/week boat rental) or can pay in advance for the 6 weeks for $120 ($150 if boat rental is needed).

Sailing 101 and Sailing 401--Keep in mind that the water is cold, even though it is warming up weekly.  You will need a wetsuit (2.5 mm or 3mm) and neoprene boots in order to sail in the spring, something along the lines of this:   Amazon.com: Scubadonkey 2.5mm Neoprene Wetsuit for Kids: Clothing and . Amazon.com : Waterproof B2 6.5mm Neoprene Boots : Sports & Outdoors.  When looking for neoprene boots, make sure they have a rubber strip/pad on the top of the foot.  West Marine also has the following boots in stock: RONSTAN Men's Sailing Boots | West Marine.
