Overview

BCSC summer camps are a unique and unforgettable experience. We specialize in not only
sailing but creating a passion for the Chesapeake Bay and fishing. Through BCSC's proven
methodology, every child who has enrolled in our sailing camps has learned to sail by the
end of a two-week camp. They will leave camp graduation with a well-deserved sense of
accomplishment. Graduations take place on the 2nd Friday of each two-week sailing session.

Our Fishing camp is also a unique experience for boys & girls who have an interest in
fishing.

Not to be left behind in any way, our Chesapeake Experience camp for our youngest
campers is a blast!!! They will have a busy day following our STEM/REACH curriculum
provided through US Sailing. This curriculum includes kayaking, paddle boarding,
catching all kinds of wildlife in the bay, and a special sail boating experience under the
leadership of older camper sailors and our adult instructors (as weather permits).
But it is not just fishing, paddle boarding, or kayaking. Life on the water is so
much more. Our campers develop lifelong skills that will last long after summer camp.

But it's not just learning how to sail, windsurf, fish or kayak. Life on the water is so much more. Our campers develop life long skills:

 Details

  • Camp runs 9:00 am-4:00 pm Monday-Friday.

  • Prior to camp, a list of required and suggested items will be emailed to each camp family (please make sure your email address is kept up to date). It really is whatever your child will need for a day on and off the water; lunch, snacks, water bottle, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses etc.

  • In the case of inclement weather, except in extreme cases, we will have camp. We have all sorts of  great activities to keep all campers progressing even when we can't get on the water. However, if you prefer to keep your child home that is no problem, just send us an email, so we can account for your child.

  • If  you need assistance or information, etc.  Please email our camp manager, Ellen- Emacgeorge@bcsailing.org
