The Baltimore County Sailing Center
Baltimore County Sailing Center (BCSC) is a 501(c)3 community sailing organization operating out of Rocky Point Park, in Eastern Baltimore County. BCSC is a self-sustaining small boat sailing facility offering diverse sailing programs for all who are interested.
Now in its 28th year, BCSC offers learn-to-sail camps, summer-long racing programs, scholastic sailing, adult learn-to-sail, one-design and LAUNCH outreach programs. While the primary focus is sailing, additional programs promoting kayaking, windsurfing, fishing, and outdoor education are offered.
BCSC is a member club of US Sailing and the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Racing Association. Unlike most other boating clubs and sailing associations, BCSC does not require dues or a membership commitment from its participants. Individuals, families, and groups participate in our programs, use our facilities and volunteer to support the organization. The policy of membership by inclusion allows us to provide affordable access to sailing and waterfront activities for the average Baltimore family.
BCSC has a seasonal staff of 12-15 U.S. Sailing Certified Instructors, and a seasonal staff of 10 for rentals and various other jobs. The Board of Advisors consists of active volunteers who are paramount to the operations, success, vision, and leadership of the Baltimore County Sailing Center. BCSC staff and board members welcome everyone to our beautiful facility. Know that you will find a program to fit your needs – if not, inquire!
