Stephanie Bruning

Board Member since: 2019

Term Expires: Dec. 2021

Stephanie Bruning is Associate Professor of Piano at Morgan State University.  She has two award-winning music albums and numerous publications.  Although she is passionate about molding young musicians, she also strives to bring the arts to populations who do not typically have access such as those in shelters and prisons. Stephanie learned how to sail when she and her husband bought a Bristol 29.9.  They enjoyed several years of exploring various areas of the Chesapeake Bay with their two young children.  Now that her children are older, they participate in the BCSC’s race team and camps each summer.  Stephanie continues to improve her small boat handling skills through BCSC’s adult sailing classes and sailing on summer vacations in Michigan.  She looks forward to helping with BCSC’s camp and community programs.

Jane Buscemi

Board Member since: 2019

Term Expires: Dec. 2021

Jane Buscemi is mother to four and a lovely wife.  Jane learned about the Sailing Center many years ago though a Church Silent Auction, where she won sailing classes. She took the opportunity to enroll her youngest son in the summer camp. She became very involved as he grew though the programs, being one of the most helpful parents on the high school team and most valued volunteers. Now that her children are all grown, she spends even more time down here!  She looks forward to helping with BCSC’s programs and events.

Joe is a resident of Baltimore County, where he also owns and runs a business. Joe has been involved with BCSC since 2012, when his son learned how to sail at BCSC's summer camp. Joe looks forward to helping BCSC as it explores ways to expand and improve its programs.

George Good

Board Member since: 2008

Term Expires: Dec. 2020

George grew up sailing on various sloops out of Middle River, taking weekend adventures on the Bay with his family. When his father became more interested in racing, he and his brother would sail with him in Glenmar Sailing Association Wednesday Night Races, and later Tuesday Night Races in the harbor with BCYA. George's two children began sailing with Baltimore County Sailing Center's Learn to Sail classes, and son Matthew participated in the BCSC Travel Race Team for five seasons!

George joined the BCSC Board and assumed the duties of Treasurer until 2015. He is the owner of Frank's Pallet Service, and is responsible for the "bonfires" so many enjoy at BCSC events. In addition to his passion for BCSC, George has been active in his national trade organization, and has served as Treasurer, Vice-President, and President of his community association, and is active in many political campaigns.
