Fall SAILING PROGRAMS

Sailing 101 Beginner Osprey
In this 6-week session, sailors will learn the fundamental skills of sailing but most importantly develop confidence on the water. Cost $200
Sailing 102 Intermediate Osprey
This 6-week session is for sailors that have already mastered the fundamental sailing skills which are covered in Sailing 101. Sailors will continue to build upon their skills and develop more comfort and control in their boat. They will work on sailing upwind efficiently with more precise steering. Sailors will also move to the next level in seamanship, learning more advanced rules of the road, understanding of navigation markers and more. Cost $200
Sailing 401 Hawk Optimist Race Team
In preparation for this coming summer, we are running a 6 week spring program on Sunday afternoons starting May 2 for 6 weeks (no class Memorial Day weekend). Sailors should arrive at 1:30pm and be rigged and ready to go at 2p, returning to shore at 4pm. Sailors can pay for individual weeks at $25 per session (plus $10/week boat rental) or can pay in advance for the 6 weeks for $120 ($150 if boat rental is needed).
Sailing 101 and Sailing 401--Keep in mind that the water is cold, even though it is warming up weekly. You will need a wetsuit (2.5 mm or 3mm) and neoprene boots in order to sail in the spring, something along the lines of this: Amazon.com: Scubadonkey 2.5mm Neoprene Wetsuit for Kids: Clothing and .
