The Henry Roesner Memorial Racing Scholarship
Henry Roesner had sailing in his DNA.
He was an avid sailor, enjoying sailing from the time he took a dingy out as a young man and taught himself to sail until his last years of life when he joined his sons on day sails. Henry enjoyed all aspects of sailing, he loved racing and was a sought-after crew member, he loved cruising and just being out on the water with friends, family and beloved dogs!
His love of sailing, being on the water and especially being part of the Glenmar Sailing Association, was the mainstay of his life. Many years before the Baltimore County Sailing Center ever existed, Henry was part of a group of sailors from Glenmar that took time to hold impromptu sailing camps in Middle River to introduce young folks to the exciting world of sailing.
Henry truly lived and breathed sailing and all the wonderful facets that the sailing life has to offer!
The application for The Henry Roesner Memorial Scholarship is available on the registration link. The process allows applicants to elaborate on their sailing background and future racing plans.
